Many years ago I became addicted to Mezzetta’s pickled okra. But then the shop I bought it from closed down and that was that. More recently, following a fever dream about pickled okra, I checked out Mezzetta’s US website. The okra wasn’t there (discontinued?), but there was plenty more good stuff and I soon filled my online basket — only to discover, when it came time to pay, that Mezzetta don’t ship to the UK. Fortunately I found American Grocer, who sent me a few jars of Golden Greek Pepperoncini (excellent) and Mild Banana Pepper Rings (out of this world). Praise be — although I only wish their Mezzetta selection was bigger. And included pickled okra.
