Small, golden grains of toasted pasta that behave like rice and taste far better. Osem Orzo is ptitim shaped into slim rice-like pieces, toasted before packing so they cook up nutty and separate rather than sticky. In ten minutes you have a side dish with real character.
Use it anywhere you would use rice: alongside roast chicken, under a rich stew, stirred through soup, or built into a pilaf with onion, stock and toasted almonds. Cold, it makes a superb salad base with tomatoes, cucumber, herbs and lemon — it keeps its bite for days.
